SeaTac advisory committees

Advisory committees help the City Council make decisions and City policies. You can apply to join one as a member if you’re a resident or own, run, or work at a local business.

How to apply

We invite all residents and business owners to apply to participate in your City. This means you!

If you’re interested in joining an advisory committee, you’ll find a link to an application form on each committee’s page. You can also contact the City Clerk to apply:

How we consider applications

We keep applications on file for one year. When a position becomes available, we’ll review your application to see if you’re a good fit.

To become a committee member, the mayor needs to appoint you, and the City Council needs to confirm you. If you’re appointed, we’ll also need to do a background investigation.

Youth opportunities

If you’re a student or resident age 16 – 18, we welcome you to apply. However, you can only apply for the following committees:

  • Arts, Culture & Library Advisory Committee (ACLAC)
  • Community Services Advisory Committee (CSAC)

Under Washington’s public disclosure laws (RCW 42.56), we must share all the information in your application if someone requests it.
