Guidance for developers

Find resources for planning, designing and building development projects in our City, including frontage improvement requirements, engineering design standards and city-specific development tools. You can also learn about the Multi-Family Property Tax Exemption (MFTE) program for eligible housing projects.

Development resources and incentives

Find development resources for City projects, including station area plans, zoning, permits, incentives and project lookup tools.

Design standards

These design standards apply to most projects in our City. Browse manuals and specifications for transportation, construction, lighting and more.

Multi-Family Property Tax Exemption (MFTE)

This program encourages developers to create more housing in our City. It’s also a way for tenants to find affordable units.

Frontage improvement references

Some development projects may include upgrades to the public street or sidewalk bordering the property. Check our frontage requirements, view standard street designs, and understand exceptions that may apply to your project.
