Reducing crime

The City of SeaTac is offering businesses the opportunity to assist law enforcement and their neighbors in reducing commercial crimes in their community.

Flock safety cameras are automated license plate reader (ALPR) systems that help law enforcement investigate and solve crimes by collecting vehicle information. The cameras are an investigative tool to support public safety while following laws, policies, and privacy protections.

Abandoned and impounded vehicles

The abandoned vehicle service identifies, tows, and properly disposes of vehicles that are unlawfully abandoned or impounded. It also helps vehicle owners verify ownership, pay fees, and get their vehicles back.

For charges related to driving while license suspended (DWLS) and prostitution, we may temporarily seize vehicles to address illegal activity and protect public safety.

Clearance letter / background checks

Background and criminal history checks are authorized screenings of a person’s records to help verify identity and review any relevant criminal history. Employers, organizations, and the public often use these checks for hiring, licensing, and safety decisions.

Fingerprinting

Fingerprinting services collect and process fingerprints—either digitally or on ink cards—for identity verification and background checks required for employment, licensing, immigration or other official purposes.

Concealed pistol license

A concealed pistol license (CPL) allows qualified individuals to legally carry a concealed pistol in public while following state and local laws. Learn how to apply for, renew, or replace a CPL.

False alarms

Our False Alarm Program works with alarm users to reduce false alarms through education and support. Fewer false alarms mean faster response times for real emergencies and more efficient use of public safety resources.
