About the Compost Club

Apartments have access to a green compost bin for composting kitchen food scraps and food-soiled paper. Composting helps reduce landfill waste, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and return nutrients back to the soil.

If your property manager has agreed to host a bin, use of the compost bin will be limited to residents who agree to correctly use the bin.

How to use your new compost pail

  1. Place all food scraps, food-soiled paper, and pizza boxes into your kitchen compost pail.
  2. Empty your full kitchen compost pail into your green outdoor compost cart.
  3. Your compost turns into nutrient-rich soil that benefits your garden.

Keep all plastic out of your green outdoor compost cart.
