The City of SeaTac offers a Minor Home Repair Program for income eligible SeaTac homeowners.  Residents are required to have owned and occupied their home for at least two years, have current homeowner's insurance, and do not intend to move in the near future. Each repair cannot exceed $3,000.00 per year with a $10,000.00 lifetime maximum per household.

The program is funded through federal Community Development Block Grant funds. You can apply by using the Minor Home Repair Program application.

Eligibility Requirements

In order to be eligible for this program, you must:

  • Live within SeaTac city limits.
  • Be listed on the home's title and own the home for two years.
  • Have current homeowner's insurance.
  • Currently live in the home.
  • Have a total combined income of all adult household members at, or below, 80% of the area median income shown in the HUD Income Guidelines below. 

Approved Repairs

These may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Repairs will focus on the health and safety of the occupants.
  • Preventative maintenance.
  • Small plumbing, cleaning drains, leaks, faucet, sinks, toilets, and caulking
  • Hot water tanks
  • Electrical
  • Weather stripping and insultation
  • Grab bars and ADA ramps
  • Minor roof leaks
  • Furnace repairs
  • Gutters and downspouts
  • Broken stairway repairs
