Grant Applications Are Open

In recognition of the significant need for human services support in our community, the SeaTac City Council allocates a portion of the General Fund budget to grant funding to organizations delivering direct service in our community - for both existing and new work. In the spring of every even year (2024, 2026, etc.) the City of SeaTac, along with 16 other King County cities, accepts requests for human services funding using one common application.

The City will also receive funding from SeaTac Human Services Strategic Plan 2025-2030 the federal government’s Community Development Block Grant and a portion of those funds are allocated for public services. Funds will be dispersed to organizations quarterly over a two-year period.

Funding Priorities

  • Urgent and emergency services

  • Youth, family and senior services

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What funding is available? Is there a minimum or maximum that can be awarded? Answer: Total funding available will be announced when grants are released.

2. What costs will you fund? Answer: Organizations are encouraged to think of and apply for all aspects that are needed to fund the program. We typically don’t fully fund a program and expect that organizations will braid funding to fully fund a program. Unless it explicitly states that it is allowed, City of SeaTac funding is not available for capital projects (e.g. no building or construction).

3. Can I submit more than one application for different programs? Answer: Yes

4. Can we apply for existing work as well as new work? Answer: City of SeaTac will fund both existing and new programs. Programs are selected based on strength and viability of their proposal to address the needs and inequities in the community.
