As part of SeaTac’s ongoing Severe Weather Response efforts, the City is giving away a limited number of free air conditioning (AC) units to help residents during periods of extreme heat.

These units, donated by King County, will be distributed through a lottery system to ensure equitable access for eligible households.

In addition to receiving an AC unit at no cost, basic installation support will be available for residents who need assistance. Installation coordination will be managed by the City of SeaTac Human Services Division.

The application period runs April 15 – May 15, 2026.
