If you are charged with a crime, you have the right to have an attorney assist you at all stages of the proceeding. This includes your first appearance in court. SeaTac Municipal Court does provide the Public Defender to assist defendants at arraignment. If you wish to have the Public Defender represent you in your case after arraignment you must be screened to see if you are eligible for their services at public expense or the cost of recoupment.

Please call the Court Support Services department at 206-775-5705 to schedule an intake screening. All intake screenings must be completed two weeks prior to your next scheduled hearing.\
