The purpose of the Committee is to develop recommendations to Council regarding the funding, construction, site selection for sidewalk construction projects, and future maintenance of neighborhood sidewalk projects within the Community.
It shall be the responsibility of the Committee to make recommendations to City Council to help ensure that the Neighborhood Sidewalk Program meets the needs and goals of our community. Recommendations will be developed through the Committee's workplan. The workplan will include tasks such as:
1. Research best practices of other jurisdictions and vet those ideas within the community.
2. Develop, maintain and implement a project identification, ranking and selection process.
3. Seek innovative, community-based ideas through sustainable, two-way communication within the community.
4. Develop and provide oversight of program community outreach efforts.
