You can apply for a rezone if your property carries a "potential" zone classification, if the zone conforms to the Comprehensive Plan designation and if other qualifications are met. Check with Planning Department staff to find out if your property is eligible for a rezone.
The applicant must complete an application and checklist, followed by a public hearing. The Hearing Examiner makes a recommendation to City Council who makes the final decision. Fees are based on the size and zone of the affected property. View an application packet [PDF].
