Food Is Our Art. Culture Is Our Story.

SeaTac isn't just a place people pass through on their way to the airport — it's a destination in its own right, and its dining scene proves it. Within a few square miles, more than 90 languages are spoken, and family-owned kitchens serve dishes rooted in Thailand, Peru, Somalia, India, Mexico, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Japan, and beyond.

The City of SeaTac has partnered with Culture Generation, a 501(c)(3) arts and culture nonprofit, to tell these stories on camera. Culture Generation has spent more than 25 years using culinary tours, cooking classes, and storytelling to uplift immigrant-owned food businesses and build bridges of belonging across our region. This video series extends that mission — introducing the people behind the plates to a wider audience, one restaurant at a time.

Each short video follows a local restaurateur — often a first- or second-generation immigrant entrepreneur — as they share the history, technique, and heart behind their cuisine. Together, the ten episodes build a portrait of SeaTac as an international dining district: a place where a traveler could eat their way around the world without ever leaving city limits.
