The following Council direction was given at the January 13, 2026 Regular Council Meeting:

Police Chief recruitment process discussion

  • Refer to Public Safety & Justice (PS&J) Committee

Human Services Strategic Plan with confirmed priority funding areas 1 – 4, confirmed funding percentage allocations, confirmed 10% allocation to the flexible fund, establishment of specified SMART goals, and establishment of a minimum $10,000 allocation to qualifying community based organizations

  • Refer to Regular Council Meeting (RCM)

 Flock Safety Legislation

  •  Support bills, and propose modification to expand 72 hour duration of retention and qualifying types of crimes

 

 The following Council actions were taken at the January 13, 2026 Regular Council Meeting:

CM Egal was selected as the Mayor of SeaTac through 2027.
CM Negusse was selected as the Deputy Mayor of SeaTac through 2027.

Planning & Economic Development Committee meets held September 18, October 16, November 6, and November 20, 2025.
Transportation & Public Works Committee meeting held September 25, 2025
Administration & Finance Committee meeting held October 2, 2025
Council Study Session held December 9, 2025
Regular Council Meeting held December 9, 2025
Parks & Recreation Committee meeting held December 11, 2025

Agenda Bill #6828; A Motion authorizing the City Manager to enter into an Agreement with King County to accept pass-through funding from the 2026 King County Parks Levy was carried and became effective January 13, 2026.

Agenda Bill #6781; A Motion authorizing the City Manager to execute a contract with Momentum Civil to provide professional engineering services for the 2027 Overlays Project (PW CIP ST-886-27) was carried and became effective January 13, 2026.

Agenda Bill #6815; A Motion authorizing the City Manager to execute a professional services contract with Atwell LLC for the 16th Avenue South & South 188th Street Drainage Improvements Project (Public Works CIP No. SWMCIP-13) was carried and became effective January 13, 2026.

A Motion authorizing the City Manager to negotiate and execute an amendment to the Purchase and Sale Agreement, reflecting material information identified during the City’s due diligence, for the property located at 20011 International Boulevard, SeaTac, commonly known as the “Bullpen” property was carried and became effective January 13, 2026.
