The following Council direction was given at the August 13, 2024 Special Council Meeting: 

Overview of North SeaTac Park to facilitate Council discussion and to inform potential future Council action around the protection and preservation of the park.

Council direction: staff to make this a priority effort, focus on 55 acres in initial phase, explore feasibility including assessment

  • Contract extensions with Gordon, Thomas, Honeywell for the state lobbyist and federal lobbyist contracts.

Approved: Grant Acceptance for the Washington DSHS - ORIA - $750,000 (24-G011).

Agenda Bill #6485; A Motion declaring police patrol rifles surplus was carried and became effective August 13, 2024.

Agenda Bill #6389; An Ordinance granting a franchise agreement with New Cingular Wireless PCS (d/b/a AT&T Wireless, or AT&T) for wireless telecommunication services was referred to the September 10, 2024 Regular Council Meeting as a Consent Agenda Item.

Agenda Bill #6491; An Ordinance amending the 2023-2024 Biennial Budget to provide additional funding for the advancement of the SeaTac Civic Campus Project and authorizing the Interim City Manager to execute a Phase 2 contract with JLL, the City's owner representative, as well as on-call contracts as needed to provide services in support of site acquisition, community outreach, financial planning and bond counsel was referred to a future Council Study Session.
