August 9, 2022 Council Actions

The following Council direction was given at the August 9, 2022 Council Study Session: 

Council Request Form 2022-05 - Options for Passing Legislation while ensuring Efficient and Transparent Government.

Council direction: Keep current meeting structure and implement some efficiency changes. Come back to a future CSS to provide additional information on combining committees and items requiring revision to authorizing documents.

City Hall facility assessment & analysis of five potential options for the future of City Hall.

Council direction: Move forward with option 2 Build City Hall and Civic Center, or option 1 Build City Hall if option 2 is not feasible.

Regular Council Meeting held July 26, 2022

Agenda Bill #6021; A Motion authorizing the City Manager to sign the proposal with Honeywell International through King County Directors Association (KCDA) to upgrade the HVAC equipment and controls at SeaTac City Hall and the SeaTac Community Center was carried and became effective August 9, 2022.

Agenda Bill #6030; A Motion authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract with Traffic Wrapz in an amount not to exceed $109,242.35 for the purpose of installing artistic wraps on signalized intersection controller boxes in SeaTac was carried and became effective August 9, 2022.

Agenda Bill #6046; An Ordinance #22-1012 amending Title 8.10.010 of the SeaTac Municipal Code (SMC) by repealing the adoption of the former Chapter 26.50 of the Revise Code of Washington (RCW) and adopting by reference certain Sections of the new Chapter 7.105 RCW related to laws governing prevention and enforcement of protection orders was adopted and became effective August 9, 2022.
