Flood Control Project Ribbon Cutting

Parking available at the Emmanuel Baptist Church parking lot. (3752 S 182nd St, SeaTac, WA 98188) To access the event location from the parking area, please enter the trail at S. 182nd Street, just west of the parking lot, and walk north towards S.180th Street.

What: Brand new flood control project unveiled that ends historic standing stormwater flooding issues in front of apartment complexes. Also new lit pedestrian path designed for safe route to school for elementary students.

Project elements:

• Replacement of stormwater infrastructure on S.180th and S.182^nd Street
• New sidewalk, pedestrian crosswalk, ADA curb ramps and pathway lighting on S.180th Street within limits of new pavement grading
• New lit asphalt pathway providing pedestrian connection between S. 180^th St. & S. 182nd St.
• Installation of stormwater infiltration gallery to redirect groundwater to existing drainage channel
• Dredge and regrade of existing drainage channel to improve flow and capacity
