City Manager Weekly Update March 27, 2020

Post Date:03/27/2020 10:29 AM

Greetings,,

This week, the City decided to shut down all City Facilities and send all but critically essential workers home in order to comply with the Governors Stay Home, Stay Healthy order. This includes changes to our Permit Center Operations and the closing of Grandview Dog Park and the Des Moines Creek Trail Park.

In order to better serve our community, we have made changes our home page of our website and added three pages of COVID Resources.

As many people have been looking for ways to help, Puget Sound Fire has a blog post on how you can donate to help out during the crisis.

Essential City functions continue including the SeaTac Police. They caught a serial criminal who is facing five years in jail.

I think during this trying time we need to focus on the positive things happening in our community. A Tyee High School student just won an award for his art piece "Broken Heart"

Wash your hands and take care of each other.
