Greetings,

A winter storm is moving across the Puget Sound Region this weekend and early into next week.  To learn how this winter storm is impacting City Operations, check the front page of the City websiteIn addition, King County Emergency Management has updated its regional Emergency News Blog to help resident prepare for the upcoming storm.  For those on Twitter, King County Emergency Management will send messages through @kingcountywa and using hashtags #KingCountyReady and #WAwx. The National Weather Service has updates on it's Twitter account  @NWSSeattle. Puget Sound Energy has storm prep and service information posted on the PSE website.

For drivers who are traveling along Military Road S and S 176th St this weekend, be aware of steel plates across the roadway as Puget Sound Energy (PSE) inspects a gas line.  PSE says work should be completed this weekend, weather permitting.  City of SeaTac Public Works Inspectors will be monitoring the work and can shut the project down if there is a need to do so.

An alert SeaTac Police Officer is credited with catching a White Center Pizza Robber.

The Census is just around the corner and the US Census bureau is hiring.

Finally, as we face a winter storm this weekend, I want everyone to stay safe and know, City staff will be working diligently to maintain City Operations to the best of our abilities and as much as we can safely do.

Thanks.
