The following Council actions were taken at the July 26, 2011 Regular Council Meeting:

 

Jeff Guite was appointed to the Planning Commission.

 

Summary of $5,000 - $35,000 purchase requests for the period ended July 22, 2011

Passed: Instructors for Blue Card Training Mandatory training due to L&I Citation - $10,586

Passed: Repair damaged handrail on International Boulevard (IB) - $7,775

Passed: South 200th Street Transportation Analysis - $14,950

Passed: Annual Pavement Management Suvey - $33,861

Passed: Removal of trees for RC Car Track - $6,948

 

The following Council Meeting Minutes were approved:

Council Workshop held June 14, 2011.

Administration and Finance Committee Meeting held July 12, 2011.

Public Safety and Justice Committee Meeting held July 12, 2011.

Regular Council Meeting held July 12, 2011.

 

Agenda Bill #3355; Resolution #11-004 expressing the City Council’s support of King County Proposition #1 – Veterans and Human Services Levy, to be presented to the electorate on August 16, 2011 was passed and became effective July 26, 2011.

 

Agenda Bill #3347; Resolution calling for an election on the proposition of whether the City’s present Council-Manager plan of government should be abandoned and the Mayor-Council plan of government be adopted was postponed to the August 9, 2011 Regular Council Meeting.

 

Agenda Bill #3346; Motion establishing the 2011 Final Docket of Comprehensive Plan Amendments was carried as amended to remove the staff alternative for Map Amendment A-1 and became effective July 26, 2011.

 

Agenda Bill #3348; Motion appointing committee members to prepare the statements for and against Ballot Proposition No. 1 for the Local Voters’ Pamphlet was carried and became effective July 26, 2011.

 

Agenda Bill #3349; Ordinance #11-1012 authorizing the King County Department of Elections to produce, publish and distribute a Local Voters’ Pamphlet for the November 8, 2011 General Election was adopted July 26, 2011 and becomes effective and becomes effective August 6, 2011.

 

Agenda Bill #3336; Ordinance #11-1013 amending Section 3.25.010 of the SeaTac Municipal Code (SMC) to amend the rate of the gambling tax imposed upon gambling activities was adopted July 26, 2011 and becomes effective and becomes effective August 6, 2011.

 

Agenda Bill #3350; Motion authorizing the City Manager to execute an Automatic First Response and Cooperative Purchasing Interlocal Agreement was carried and became effective July 26, 2011.

 

Agenda Bill #3352; Motion authorizing the City Manager to execute an amendment to the Employment Agreement between the City and Municipal Court Judge Elizabeth Cordi-Bejarano was carried and became effective July 26, 2011.
