City of SeaTac Community Meeting Planned for May 21st at Bow Lake Elementary

SeaTac, WA (May 5, 2015) – The City of SeaTac will be hosting a Community Meeting on May 21, from 6 pm-8 pm at Bow Lake Elementary School located at 18237 42nd Avenue S., SeaTac, to discuss the results from the recent Resident Satisfaction Survey. All are welcome to attend. The purpose of the survey was to gauge residents’ satisfaction with City services and gain input on what the City can do better to meet the community’s needs and expectations. “This community meeting is an opportunity to directly report the results of the survey to our residents and to receive additional feedback.” said City Manager Todd Cutts. “It is part of our continuing effort to improve engagement and opportunities for conversations with the community.”
Close to 300 surveys were completed, including a combination of on-line, in-person and printed surveys that were distributed at a number of community and City locations. The in-person surveys were facilitated through the Community Liaison Pilot Project, as part of the City’s evolving Community Engagement Program. City Manager Cutts added, “There was an emphasis placed on hearing from the entire spectrum of our residents so that the input would be reflective of our highly diverse demographic, which we believe is one of the things that makes SeaTac a great place to live.”
AGENDA:
6-6:30pm: Dinner
6:30-8pm: Community conversations about safety, communication and more.
Interpretation will be available in Amharic/Ethiopian, Somali, Spanish, Tigrinya/Eritrean and childcare will be provided.
