Transparency and accountability survey

Post Date:11/01/2014

The City of SeaTac is working to enhance its current practices. In the past, the City has implemented many programs that have assisted with responding to questions and concerns from the public.

In order to continue improving these programs, an internal improvement process has begun to improve transparency and accountability. The purpose is to ensure that the City’s policies/processes capitalize on its efforts in order to increase the level of public trust.

Some of the current enhancements being worked on are:

  • Memorialize and supplement current customer inquiry response practices in the form of a written policy so inquiries made via phone, in person, or email are handled consistently and timely manner.
  • Provide the Public Disclosure Request in an electronic format on the City’s website so requestors are able to submit requests online.
  • Provide copies of citywide policies on the City website for public viewing.

The process improvement team would like to hear from you about your experiences interacting with city staff and accessing online resources for services and information. You will find a short survey at http://www.ci.seatac.wa.us/initiative2survey with questions related to this process improvement. The team realizes that the results will not be statistically valid; however, we feel it is important to reach out to you. Your input may influence future enhancements. Please take a moment to fill out the survey and let us know how we are doing. Thank you!
