2018 FALL ACADEMY STARTS SEPT 12TH

SIGN UP NOW TO RESERVE YOUR SPOT

The SeaTac and Burien Police, in partnership with the King County Sheriff's Office, invite community members to a twelve week course designed to increase the understanding between residents and their police departments through education. Classes are held on Wednesday evenings from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. There are presentations by many of the Sheriff’s Office Units with opportunities for hands on experiences, plus field trips to the King County Communications Center (911 call center) and the South Correctional Entity (SCORE jail).

Graduates of the Community Police Academy gain a better understanding of the criminal justice system and an appreciation for the many challenges facing law enforcement in today's society.  This knowledge will help community members better assist officers and increase the safety in their neighborhoods and community.

This is an unique experience and it's offered at no cost to anyone who lives or works in the Cities of SeaTac or Burien.   If you are interested in attending the fall session, please complete an application.
