The State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) requires all governmental agencies to consider the environmental impacts of certain proposals before approval and subsequent development. The Environmental and SEPA checklists' purpose is to identify impacts of a proposal. From the information requested on these checklists, the City can determine probable adverse impacts on the quality of the environment and determine whether an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) is required. A City planner can advise you whether your project requires submittal of these checklists.
