September 25, 2018 Council Actions

The following Council direction was given at the September 25, 2018 Regular Council Meeting:

  • Refer to Planning & Economic Development Committee
    1. Investigation findings on designation of foreign trade zones
    2. Economic Master Plan for the City

The following Council actions were taken at the September 25, 2018 Regular Council Meeting: 

Councilmember Erin Sitterley was elected as the Mayor through 2019.          

Councilmember Clyde Hill was elected as Deputy Mayor through 2019.

The following meeting minutes were approved:
Regular Council Meeting held September 11, 2018.
Public Safety & Justice Committee Meeting held September 13, 2018.

Agenda Bill #5018; A Motion approving the Employment Transition Agreement of Joseph Scorcio was carried and became effective September 25, 2018.

Agenda Bill #5034; An Ordinance #18-1031 authorizing the City Manager to execute agreements for the purchase of playground equipment for Angle Lake Park, authorizing project expenditures, and amending the City's 2017-2018 Biennial Budget was adopted September 25, 2018 and becomes effective October 6, 2018.

Agenda Bill #4970; An Ordinance #18-1032 amending Chapter 5.05 of the SeaTac Municipal Code relating to Business Licenses and Regulations was adopted September 25, 2018 and becomes effective January 1, 2019.

Agenda Bill #4977; An Ordinance #18-1033 repealing and replacing Chapter 3.25 of the SeaTac Municipal Code related to Gambling Tax was adopted September 25, 2018 and becomes effective January 1, 2019.  

Agenda Bill #5040; A Motion authorizing the City Manager to enter into negotiations with __________________ for the sale and redevelopment of the former Fire Station 45 property – Motion carried to remove this property from the market at this time to consider further commercial alternatives in the future.

Agenda Bill #5042; A Motion authorizing the City Manager to enter negotiations with Inland Group for the sale and redevelopment of the SeaTac Center Property was carried and became effective September 25, 2018.  

Agenda Bill #5041; A Motion authorizing the City Manager to enter into negotiations with the Low Income Housing Institute for the sale and redevelopment of the former Fire Station 47 property was carried and became effective September 25, 2018.

The following item was referred to the October 9, 2018 Regular Council Meeting Consent Agenda:
Agenda Bill #5032; A Motion authorizing the City Manager to execute a first amendment to the Comprehensive Garbage, Recyclables and Compostables Collection Contract with Recology CleanScapes Inc.
